Natalie's First Birthday

Natalie turned 1 on 12/9 and celebrated with a nice party with some family and friends.

I've learned that I can't leave a basket of laundry anywhere near Natalie
....or this is what happens.

The first barrette...

Natalie's hair is finally long enough for a barrette. It's nice to get her hair out of her eyes, even if it's just for a few minutes. And it's just so cute!

Eating Apples

On our trip to Klackle Orchards today, I found out that Natalie likes apples.

She spent most of the day chewing on this apple.

And this is what happened when we took the apple away.

The First Tooth!

Finally, after 10 months, the first tooth appears. Of course, a tooth is not easy to catch on camera. But believe me, it's in there!

Natalie got to spend some time with her Uncle Matt at Grandma's cottage party this summer.

 

Too tired for dinner...

I guess Natalie tuckered herself out making graham cracker crumbs all over her tray.

 

Learning to crawl...

Natalie started "creeping" in early July...

...and was crawling for toys within a few days.

After mastering the crawl at the end of July, she learned to pull herself to kneeling...

...and quickly learned how to pull herself to standing.

Festival 2006

Natalie had fun at Festival. Although she wasn't able to try a lot of the food like the rest of us, she did enjoy listening to some good music. Here's a picture of Natalie and her new friend, Linda, at one of the concerts. Linda is one of Grandma Rummelt's friends from way back.

Natalie seems to be growing hair only down the center of her head. Aunt Amy took advantage of this and gave Natalie a lovely gel-spiked mohawk!
