Natalie had her share (and more) at Aunt Suzie's 80th birthday party in Newaygo.

Natalie is such a good eater! One of her favorite new meals is a salad. Give this girl a salad bar and she's good to go.

Visiting Dad

Mom and Natalie took a walk to the park this afternoon and found Dad and Toby fishing at the lake.

Storytime...

Natalie lined up a few friends this afternoon and read a book to them. Poor Natalie didn't even notice that her book was upside-down.

Pretty Nails

I painted Natalie's nails for the first time and she was so excited about it that she couldn't show me her nails. She just kept looking at them.

Natalie is a hazard to herself!

About a week after the black eye (just as it was healing), Natalie was hopping outside on the sidewalk and decided to smash her face into the cement. Believe it or not, she's already smashed her face into the cement once this year bruising her entire cheek in June. She also fell twice in one day at Sharon's house bruising her chin quite badly. This girl must have terrible balance.

I know what you're all asking right now, and yes we do get a lot of looks when we go out and I feel terrible.

Natalie's 1st black eye...

I've learned that all kids will have at least one black eye. I blogged Toby's 1st black eye a couple of years back (click here). Ironically, Natalie's first black eye happened much the same way. Toby got his first black eye by walking in front of Natalie on a swing at Aunt Amy's. Natalie got her first black eye by walking in front of Toby on a swing at Grandma Bonnie's on the 4th of July.

The first French braid...

Natalie will finally sit still long enough for me to French braid her hair. This is my VERY FIRST French braid.

Pudding pops!

Natalie loves our homemade pudding pops. They are soooo yummy and refreshing on a hot summer night.

I was trying to get a picture of Natalie playing with her ice cream cone, but by the time I point and shoot, she's has her finger half way up her nose. So lady-like!

Book time before bed...

Toby will sometimes read a book to Natalie before bed. He prefers the books with lots of pictures.

Easter eggs...

Natalie was too little to color eggs last year, so this was actually her first time. As you can see, she found the eggshell more interesting than actually coloring them.

Natalie ♥'s Cereal!

This was a first....

Natalie decided to put her finger into the end of a toy kaleidoscope and came to us when she realized that her finger was stuck. After trying different soaps and vasceline with no luck, her finger was getting sore and she was willing to give up and live the toy stuck on her finger. At this point, we went to dad...

...and this is what happens when you go to dad with a toy kaleidoscope stuck on your finger.

Showing off new teeth...

Lately when I go to take Natalie's pictures, she only want to show me her new teeth, which are not easy to photgraph. I hope they come in soon so that Natalie can start smiling for the camera again.

Natalie's winter cold...

Natalie had a bad cold this week. She had to do neb treatments every 4 hours to help her cough. The poor girl was so tired and worn out...

As you can see, she didn't leave the couch much.

Yikes!

I think it's time to invest in some new pants!
